Thailand's #1 Gay Travel Agency
LGBTQ+ Phuket guide
Phuket has welcomed LGBTQ+ travellers for decades. Here is what we tell our friends before they arrive.
Marriage equality in Thailand
Thailand's Marriage Equality Act came into force in January 2025, making Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia where same-sex couples can marry. Couples of any gender can register their marriage at a district office. We arrange wedding ceremonies from ฿45,000, and our legal partners at Property Phuket Law guide you through documents and registration: propertyphuketlaw.com.
Nightlife
Patong is the heart of Phuket's gay nightlife, with bars, cabaret and clubs around Paradise Complex. Simon Cabaret in Patong is a classic first night out. Ask us for current venues and events, they change from season to season.
Beaches and islands
Island days are where Phuket shines. For a relaxed day as a couple, the catamaran tours to Phi Phi and the Similan Islands are calmer and more comfortable than speedboats. For full privacy, book a private speedboat or longtail and choose your own coves.
Wellness and spa
Thai massage, spa days and wellness retreats are part of every good Phuket holiday. Tell us what you like and where you stay, and we will recommend welcoming places nearby.
Good to know
- Thai people are generally relaxed and friendly towards LGBTQ+ visitors. Modest dress is expected at temples.
- Public displays of affection are kept low-key by everyone in Thailand, gay or straight.
- High season for the islands is November to April. The Similan and Surin islands are open from mid-October to mid-May.
- Pride events take place on the island during the year. Ask us for current dates.
